萨里最古老的工艺啤酒厂的未来是在业主购买后获得的yabo.net家。Pilgrim Brewery, which turned 40 earlier this year, had faced being kicked out of its home off West Street – where the beer is created and also consumed in a popular tap room.

It prompted a groundswell of support which owners Rory Fry-Stone and Adrian Rothera believe helped save it.去年他们是给了六个月的离开as the landlord put the estate on which the brewery sits up for sale.

“The amount of love we got from everyone was incredible,” said Mr Fry-Stone.“这是惊人的。

“It is very hard to put into words the emotion. We have put a lot into it. We may not have been here for a dreadfully long time – we took it on in 2017. But the brewery is the oldest craft brewery in the south east; it’s been brewing since 1982 and we are in a really lovely town, we have great spirit here – and we are staying.”

Securing its permanent home had come at a good time, he said.

“Talking about love, this building is in some dire need of some love. Love equals money and we have to put some money into the building, update a lot of the equipment.

“We suffered quite badly with the winds [of storm Eunice last month]. We had roof tiles crashing in through the windows; the roof will not survive another winter. So it has all come at a really good time. We can now start investing in the building and carry it on for another 40 years.”

The petition was founded by regular Julian Griffiths, who said Pilgrim “represented everything that is good about Reigate” and he hoped the petition would show the borough council and would-be developers that it couldn’t be wiped from the town “without significant conversation, debate and resistance”.
