The coronavirus lockdown has changed life as we know it and has made some of us consider a possible career change.

Police constable degree apprenticeship (PCDA)

Applications are currently open for police constable intakes for the autumn and winter of 2020 and into 2021 on a three-year apprenticeship programme.

As a police constable you will tackle crime, take knives off the streets, engage and educate young people, the job post says.

The force is looking for confident applicants, with the compassion and empathy to help those in need.

Study will be a mix of on and off the job and you will be awarded your degree at the end of the three year programme and with completion of your probation period.

Salary:You will be paid a full salary of £20,880 per annum plus £2,500 South East allowance and will not be charged any tuition fees.

Detective constable

The force is also looking for successful, professional PIP2 accredited detective constables to form part of an exciting new policing model in the county.

Senior IT technician

The Sussex and Surrey IT department is recruiting a full-time senior desktop IT technician primarily based at Surrey HQ inGuildford.

An excerpt from the advert reads: "This is a second line support role to support the forces’ end point devices: desktops, laptops, body worn cameras, mobile phones, mobile data terminals, smart phones, printers, plotters and more."

The ideal candidate will be the first point of escalation for the technicians within the team and be expected to have the knowledge to assist them. The position will require travel where appropriate.

Partnership manager

Surrey Police and partners "require a dynamic individual" after choosing Empowering Communities (ECINS) modules to help support partnership information and case management inSurrey.
